Grief & Loss Counseling
Grief can come when we lose our connection to important elements of our lives. This loss can be an unbearable weight that requires a lot of understanding and support. Are you struggling to cope with losing a close friend, family member, relationship, or left your native country? Do you feel like this loss is too much for you to understand or bear? If so, I can help and guide you through your bereavement period using supportive therapeutic approaches specialized for your unique situation and needs.
What to Expect
After a loss and during the bereavement period, it is not uncommon to experience a wide range of emotions from sadness to anger. Whether you are dealing with the death of a loved one or another type of loss, grief is a natural feeling. My goal in our grief counseling sessions is to provide you with a safe place where you can talk about your feelings, help you process your emotions, and support you through your grief journey. Remember, there is no standard way to deal with or feel grief. Everything that you are feeling is a valid reaction to your loss.
My Approach
During our grief counseling sessions, I will provide you with the support and guidance needed to help you deal with your loss. Together, we will develop a plan that you can use to cope and heal. I’ll provide you with grief education and support in a safe and comfortable environment. Remember, grief is not something you “get over”; instead, with trust, communication, and openness, I can help you find peace and ways to honor the loss of your loved one as you continue to live.
