Anxiety & Depression
Anxiety and depression can have a crippling effect on your life. Both of these mental health conditions can make something as simple as getting up out of bed difficult. If you are struggling with anxiety or think that you may have depression, I am here to help. If you choose to work with me, I’ll help you find ways to cope with the things happening in your life in a healthy way, using different therapeutic approaches.
If you are or someone you know is depressed and thinking about hurting themselves or committing suicide, please seek immediate help. To speak with someone at that National Suicide Prevention Lifeline 24-hour crisis center, call 1-800-273-TALK (8255) or dial 911.
What to Expect
Depression and anxiety affect many people, and many times getting specialized support can help ease the symptoms. These conditions can cause you to experience feelings such as loneliness, fear, and worry, and severely interfere with your day-to-day living. My goal in our therapy sessions is to teach you how to cope with life, help you understand what may be the cause of these conditions, and work with you to figure out solutions to deal with them.
During our anxiety and depression counseling sessions, I will provide you with an environment where you can feel safe to talk openly about your feelings and issues. Once you’re comfortable, we will work together to develop a custom treatment plan based on your needs that can reduce your anxiety or depression symptoms. Topics such as self-care, assertiveness, personal rights, boundaries, and personality traits that affect our anxiety will be discussed in depth.
